Resource and Referral

RESOURCE & REFERRAL PROGRAM addresses the language, cultural and systemic barriers that are prevalent among immigrant families and limited English speakers in accessing and navigating the following areas:

  • Health and medical

  • Legal

  • Employment

  • Housing

  • Education

  • Immigration information and referrals

  • Youth

  • Marriage and divorce

  • Emergency assistance

  • Wage theft

  • Worker’s compensation

  • Domestic violence

 

(3531 intakes, 1241 clients in 2018): the only program in the Yampa Valley that provides assistance to non-English speaking community members in the areas of medical, employment, housing, legal and other basic needs decreasing the workload of other human service agencies in the area. In 2016, we received Recognition with the U.S Department of Justice to provide limited immigration services.

We enhance human service agencies’ capacity to serve their immigrant constituency through language support and cultural training. We also extend bilingual troubleshooting, advocacy, mediation, education and case management services to immigrant constituents ranging from newborns to adults who have not attained proficiency in English.

IMMIGRATION 

We  are a recognized organization with the U.S. Dept of Justice to provide immigration services such as Citizenship, Work Permit, travel documents, family petition, DACA and there.
